Trans Media and its parent company CT Corp is a business group leading the media, retail, and finance sectors in Indonesia. Through this partnership, SM Entertainment and Trans Media hope to launch a joint business venture that promotes not only the entry of SM Entertainment artists into Indonesia but also to promote the production of Indonesian pop and video programs.

Which means Indonesian artists will be collaborating with SM Entertainment artists. Fans found out that top Indonesian artist Rossa was going to be the first artist to be recruited when the meeting was held and then they found out that a collaboration with Super Junior is already in the works!

On Sept. 2018, PT Trans Media Corpora, part of Indonesian business tycoon Chairul Tanjung’s CT Corp., signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korea-based SM Entertainment.

Both agreed to collaborate on talent management, visual content production, event production and a mobile platform.

In a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday, Chairul said that one of the purposes of the collaboration was to expose Indonesian artists to the world. Rossa is the first Indonesian singer to join SM Entertainment.

According to kompas.com, the two companies aim to develop local talent with international quality. SM Entertainment as one of the biggest agencies in South Korea is expected to provide insight on talent management, casting, training and marketing.

“We hope that with this partnership Indonesia can follow suit,” Chairul said.

Rossa and Super Junior will team up for a new single, with details yet to be revealed.

“I cannot wait to see what kind of collaboration we will have,” Rossa said on the same occasion. “Honestly, I am also nervous.” The singer has released 17 studio albums and is known for her strong voice and love ballads.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk said he admired Rossa.

“Rossa is well-known in Indonesia as well as Asia with 17 years of experience. This is an honor,” he said. Founded in 2005, Super Junior is a famous boy band from South Korea. They are often considered to be one of the groups that contributed to the global Korean Wave (hallyu). (wng)

On February 21, SM announced its plan to establish a joint venture with Trans Media, a comprehensive media company under CT Corp, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. CT Corp is a business group leading the media, finance, and retail sectors in Indonesia. Through their joint venture, they will focus on four areas including entertainment and content production, comprehensive advertising, lifestyle business, and digital business.

Rossa was introduced as the first artist to be recruited by the joint venture company, as well as news of her collaboration with Super Junior, which is scheduled for the second half of this year. Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Rossa attended the ceremony to express their expectations for future activities.

Rossa made her debut in 1996 and has won the Best Singer Award at various awards ceremonies. In September 2018, she participated in the main stage of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games in Jakarta and proved once again that she is a representative singer of Indonesia. Super Junior, one of the most beloved K-pop idols, is also much loved in Indonesia, and along with the collaboration project, they are expected to be more included in the joint venture projects.

Moreover, the joint venture plans to promote the entry of SM artists into Indonesia, the production of I-pop (Indonesian pop) contents through the discovery and recruitment of local artists, and the production of video programs, which are expected to bring about huge achievements by actively targeting the largest market in Asia with more than 100 million young consumers out of 260 million people.

In addition, chairman Chairul Tanjung of CT Corp, president Atik Nurwahuni of Trans Media, general producer Lee Soo Man of SM, CEO Han Se Min of SM, and branch manager Han Kyung Jin of SM South East Asia attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, SM and CT Corp signed an MOU for joint business promotion in October of last year. CT Corp is the largest group in the media, lifestyle, entertainment and financial sectors, with businesses such as TransTV, Trans 7 Channel, Bank Mega, Bank Mega, Syariah, Transmart Carrefour, and Trans Fashion.

The Good is Back adalah sebuah single kolaborasi antara 2 Diva Indonesia yaitu Rossa & Anggun yang dirilis pada tanggal 20 April 2018. Single ini diluncurkan untuk memperingati Hari Kartini di Indonesia yang jatuh pada setiap tanggal 21 April 2018. Lagu ini direkam oleh Rossa & Anggun pada tanggal 3 Desember 2017 antara Indonesia & Perancis.

Bercerita tentang move on, lagu ini menceritakan bahwa setiap orang mampu bangkit dari keterpurukan setelah berpisah. Lebih menariknya lagi single ini merupakan single kolaborasi Penyanyi Solo Wanita Pertama dalam sejarah karir bermusik Rossa. “Ya ini kolab yang spesial. Buat D’Masiv ini pertama kalinya kita duet dengan penyanyi wanita dan itu adalah Rossa, ditambah dengan sentuhan pianonya David Noah jadi lagu dan komposisinya lengkap banget,” tutur Rian ditemui WowKeren di jumpa pers di kawasan Jakarta Selatan.

“Kita nyebutnya sih kolaborasi kombo ya karena Rossa punya nama yang sangat besar, kang David dengan band NOAH juga punya nama besar. Dijadiin satu sama D’Masiv tuh jadi satu hal yang alhamdulillah kita seneng banget bisa melakukan kolab ini.”

Rossa yang turut hadir menyampaikan alasan setuju diajak kolaborasi oleh D’Masiv. Penyanyi yang akrab dipanggi Teh Ocha tersebut juga membocorkan berapa waktu yang dibutuhkannya untuk mempertimbangan tawaran dari Rian cs.

“Pas aku pertama kali diminta Rian, aku minta dikirimin contoh lagunya dulu karena aku harus tahu kira-kira suara aku masuk nggak di situ. Apa suaraku bisa memberi input yang bagus, atau bisa aja malah nggak cocok dan malah bikin lagunya nggak enak. Ketika Rian ngirim, aku langsung tahu aku suka lagu ini dan aku bilang ke Rian, ‘let’s do it‘,” ungkap Rossa.

“Aku nggak butuh waktu lama sih. Kalo kata timku, Rossa’s rule itu 20 seconds (detik) jadi 20 detik di awal aku udah tahu suka apa nggak sama satu lagu. Jadi selama nggak suka, aku nggak bakal lanjut dengerin pasti diskip-skip.”

Sementara itu, “Pernah Memiliki” menjadi hadiah ulang tahun D’Masiv yang ke-15 pada 2 Maret lalu. Lagu ini sudah bisa didengarkan lewat radio sejak 4 Maret. (wk/kr)
