BHARIAN KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Rossa menjadi penyanyi Indonesia kedua yang menjual koleksinya di gedung fesyen pelbagai label, Pret A Porter, di G Village, di sini. Sebelum ini, Afgan terlebih dulu berbuat demikian menerusi jenamanya, Arez.Co, September tahun lalu.
Gedung fesyen berkenaan turut dimeriahkan dengan koleksi pakaian artis tempatan seperti Datin Seri Zizie Ezette, Ainul Aishah, Emelda Rosmila, Sharifah Shawati dan Altimet.
“Saya usahakan rangkaian fesyen diberi nama Kain ini bersama teman baik, Silvay. Saya sendiri sudah mengenalinya selama tujuh tahun, namun hanya kira-kira setahun lalu kami sepakat mencetuskan jenama ini.
“Silvay asalnya ialah penata gaya saya. Dia turut bekerja dengan majalah fesyen. Akhirnya kami bekerjasama menghasilkan rekaan kasual, tetapi masih berteraskan warisan menerusi inspirasi cetakan batik, kain tenun dan pelbagai lagi,” katanya ketika ditemui pada pelancaran jenama berkenaan di gedung terbabit, petang tadi.
Menurut penyanyi yang popular dengan lagu Pudar itu, rekaan jenama fesyennya bertujuan mendidik anak muda menghargai warisan lama dan tradisi.
“Selalunya kain batik atau tenun sering dianggap pakaian untuk mereka yang berpangkat mak cik, ibu atau yang lebih tua.
“Lalu, kehadiran Kain yang diberi nafas baharu membolehkan generasi muda memakainya, dengan harga yang berpatutan,” katanya yang juga juri tetap program 3 Juara di TV3. Di Indonesia, jenama terbabit sudah pun dilancarkan lebih setahun lalu dan dijual secara dalam talian, selain mempunyai butik dan bengkelnya sendiri.
“Di Malaysia, ia dijual secara eksklusif di Pret A Porter dan tidak lama lagi secara dalam talian juga,” katanya sambil memberitahu, beliau dan Afgan mengenali gedung terbabit menerusi pereka, Amir Luqman.
Selain fesyen, Rossa turut terbabit dalam perniagaan hartanah, pusat karaoke dan minyak wangi.
