Meski tidak menyangka mendapatkan penghargaan, Rossa tetap bersyukur atas diberikannya apresiasi yang diberikan kepadanya.

“Alhamdullilah, saya surprise banget. Saya tidak tahu kalau dikasih penghargaan, saya tahunya nyanyi aja dan baru dikasih tahu tadi,” kata Rossa kepada Ceknricek.com.

Rossa berharap agar bentuk apresiasi ini dapat memotivasi dan menginspirasi segala unsur dan golongan perempuan, agar terpacu untuk lebih optimal berkarya.

“Tidak hanya saya di bidang Seni dan Budaya saja, tapi awarding ini untuk kategori politisi, profesi, dan enterprenuer. Semuanya perempuan-perempuan hebat,” tambah Rossa.

Ketua Umum dan Pendiri PPLIPI, Dra. Hj. Indah Suryadharma Ali, MBA., menjelaskan terpilihnya Rossa karena menurutnya Rossa sebagai penyanyi yang memiliki kegigihan untuk meraih prestasi sehingga bisa dikategorikan sebagai Diva.

“Penggiat Seni dan Budaya diberikan kepada Rossa karena prestasinya. Dari penyanyi biasa hingga proses menjadi seorang Diva. Prestasinya tidak hanya di dalam negeri tapi juga di luar negeri. Jadi tidak salah,” ucap Indah dalam kesempatan yang sama.

PPLIPI merupakan wadah bagi perempuan untuk menyumbangkan tenaga, pikiran maupun materi dalam rangka mengangkat harkat dan martabat perempuan melalui upaya pemberdayaan perempuan.

It was also reported that a partnership between SM Entertainment, which manages Super Junior, and Indonesia’s CT Corp was established last Thursday in Jakarta.

SM Entertainment is South Korea’s biggest entertainment company, while CT Corp is a leading business group in the Indonesian media, retail and finance sectors.

Apparently, representatives from SM Entertainment, including its founder Lee Soo Man, had met up with the president of Trans Media and the chairman of CT Corp during the meeting for the partnership.

The working relationship between SM Entertainment and Trans Media, which is owned by CT Corp, is expected to promote the entry of SM Entertainment artistes into Indonesia, as well as to promote the production of Indonesian pop and video programmes.

This will also result in more collaborative work between Korean and Indonesian artistes with Super Junior and Rossa being the first step.

Other big Korean artistes under SM Entertainment include Shinee, Exo, Red Velvet and Girl’s Generation.

So fans of K-Pop in the region can look forward to more exciting collaborations between talented artistes from the two countries.

On Sept. 2018, PT Trans Media Corpora, part of Indonesian business tycoon Chairul Tanjung’s CT Corp., signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korea-based SM Entertainment.

Both agreed to collaborate on talent management, visual content production, event production and a mobile platform.

In a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday, Chairul said that one of the purposes of the collaboration was to expose Indonesian artists to the world. Rossa is the first Indonesian singer to join SM Entertainment.

According to kompas.com, the two companies aim to develop local talent with international quality. SM Entertainment as one of the biggest agencies in South Korea is expected to provide insight on talent management, casting, training and marketing.

“We hope that with this partnership Indonesia can follow suit,” Chairul said.

Rossa and Super Junior will team up for a new single, with details yet to be revealed.

“I cannot wait to see what kind of collaboration we will have,” Rossa said on the same occasion. “Honestly, I am also nervous.” The singer has released 17 studio albums and is known for her strong voice and love ballads.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk said he admired Rossa.

“Rossa is well-known in Indonesia as well as Asia with 17 years of experience. This is an honor,” he said. Founded in 2005, Super Junior is a famous boy band from South Korea. They are often considered to be one of the groups that contributed to the global Korean Wave (hallyu). (wng)

On February 21, SM announced its plan to establish a joint venture with Trans Media, a comprehensive media company under CT Corp, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. CT Corp is a business group leading the media, finance, and retail sectors in Indonesia. Through their joint venture, they will focus on four areas including entertainment and content production, comprehensive advertising, lifestyle business, and digital business.

Rossa was introduced as the first artist to be recruited by the joint venture company, as well as news of her collaboration with Super Junior, which is scheduled for the second half of this year. Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Rossa attended the ceremony to express their expectations for future activities.

Rossa made her debut in 1996 and has won the Best Singer Award at various awards ceremonies. In September 2018, she participated in the main stage of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games in Jakarta and proved once again that she is a representative singer of Indonesia. Super Junior, one of the most beloved K-pop idols, is also much loved in Indonesia, and along with the collaboration project, they are expected to be more included in the joint venture projects.

The partnership between behemoth K-pop agency SM Entertainment and Indonesian media company Trans Media (along its parent company, CT Group), was signed last year but is finally starting to bear fruits for fans of Korean and Indonesian pop music.

As previously reported, the joint venture of the two media giants will take the form of, among others: talent management, advertising, content production, digital content distribution, and merchandising or lifestyle business. But their most ambitious project of all is birthing an Indonesian K-pop equivalent called I-pop.

It appears the first I-pop project will be a collaboration between the veteran boyband Super Junior (Suju) with renowned Indonesian singer Rossa, who became the first talent to be signed to the joint venture. Reports indicate that they will release a new song together sometime in the middle of this year.

The collaboration was confirmed by Suju’s leader, Leeteuk, through posts to his Instagram account that featured the hashtag #NantikanKami (#WatchOutForUs) hashtag.

Super Junior is among the second generation of talents from SM Entertainment, debuting in 2005. They have since become one of the country’s most iconic K-pop acts, helping to spread the Hallyu Wave all over the world.

Rossa is one of Indonesia’s most famous pop divas, with a career spanning over 22 years. Many of her songs were featured in Indonesian blockbusters such as Ayat-Ayat Cinta (Verses of Love), and she has been honored with the Dato’ Sri title in Malaysia.

Earlier this month, SM Entertainment opened its first Indonesian office at fX Sudirman mall in South Jakarta, much to the delight of the country’s legion of K-pop fans.
